Ahmetcan Gökçeer lol, yeah I now do a different editing technique for repeats that straddle page turns (I.e. display whole page except blur all but the repeated content). 23:08 is just too dramatic 😉
Haha! And probably in the most offensive way, too. Lang would probably be happier to receive the RUclips new music treatment ("not music", "no skill", "noise", etc.) than be compared to American minimalists.
Ian Mikyska I think Daniel needs to have a talk with Bernhard Lang. Then he will be free of wading in his own shallow pool of water. How do Folks like this come to this music anyways? Like: "Yo Daniel!!!......Just stay away man."
Another extended technique fest. Mechanical. Insectile. Music that seems (along with many other posted by Score Follower) best suited as accompaniment to documentary or nature films or horror genre stuff. This one has a bit of the jazzy groove in it on the plus side and has some really funky good moments. But it's a rather hectoring relentless score. All of these pieces, regardless of their ultimate length give the sense that they might go on forever...driven by some insane engine rather than musical logic, as they are driven by technical display...rather than themes per se or actual pitches (one almost expects ∞X to appear in the score) ...different extended techniques, the certain textural combinations and rhythmic changes are the structural elements. There are of course in the minimalist way, repeating and repeating motifs. But it's quite possible given that they generally avoid climax they also create a sense that their various sections could be reversed in order and it would little impact the listening experience or the overall impression of the piece...they are obliviously uneventful and completely absorbed in their inner workings. and then exhausted sudden stop.
one of the best recording of this piece!
so good ...
23:08 An important measure that is.

Cool!
Almost half of Daniel Pi's Google+ posts are dedicated to hating Bernhard Lang.
Haha!

***** How does that contradict what I wrote? I was just pointing out the humour in Daniel Pi's attacks on Lang.

Rent-free.
How can I get more scores from this composer?
Thanks for the video.

A comic quatation of morton feldman....
Music with repetitive structures: 😐
Music with repetitive structures, Germany: 😮
He's Austrian. And yet you've got plenty of non-American (and completely different) music with repetitive structures (Poland, Lithuania, Romania).

I wish the performers respected the duration values given by the composer.
